Supporting Sensory Regulation in the Classroom: Practical Strategies That Work
This practical course supports teachers and SNAs in understanding and responding to children’s sensory needs in the classroom.
Participants will explore how sensory dysregulation impacts behaviour, attention and learning, and will gain a range of simple, effective strategies to support both sensory seekers and avoiders.
The course focuses on realistic, classroom-friendly approaches to creating calm, inclusive environments and supporting all learners to engage successfully.
Presenters:
Sarah Griffin and Louise O’Dwyer combine their skill set, knowledge and experience as Special Education Teacher and Special Needs Assistant, respectively, to deliver this webinar. Sarah is a Primary school teacher currently working in SET. Louise is a Special Needs Assistant and Adult Education tutor.
