Inspiring Ireland

A monthly Interview series with Influential Irish people

Audience: Teachers and Students in Senior primary classes and 2nd level schools

Dr. Fidelma Healy Eames, Director, Study & Careers

The ‘Inspiring Ireland’ interview series will stream live interviews with influential people into your classrooms - people that our children and teens have come to know from TV and other media. Hosted by Dr. Fidelma Healy Eames, PhD, www.studyandcareers.ie these interviews aim to inspire young people through sharing real-life stories of well-known people.

‘We see well-known people on TV but we have no idea about their real-life story or how they got to where they are today. ‘Inspiring Ireland’ aims to get behind this by teasing out the story of their lives. Your students will learn about famous people’s lives growing up, what motivated them and influenced them to be the people they are today, their strengths and challenges. The ultimate intention being that our students will find inspiration for their own lives’.

Limerick Education Centre were delighted to host the first interview on Tuesday, May 11th at 10am with Bryan Dobson (RTE News Anchor & News reader) – did you know that Bryan found learning to read difficult?

If you missed out on the interview or would like to share it will your colleagues or a class, we are delighted to be able to share a recording of the interview here
