PDST - Relationships and Sexuality Education - Summer Course

Are you a primary school teacher looking to improve your confidence and competence in the teaching and learning of Relationship and Sexuality Education?

Are you a school leader hoping to update your school's RSE policy, teaching resources and materials?

This NEW face-to-face RSE Summer Course will explore Relationships and Sexuality Education in a fun, supportive and engaging manner.

This practical, interactive course will give teachers and school leaders an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences of teaching and learning in SPHE and RSE and how to cultivate a positive culture and climate in their school.

Take a deeper dive into the role and function of RSE policy, experience a range of active learning methodologies and teaching materials and consider how the Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice and SSE can enhance RSE provision in your school.

Facilitator: Barry Morrisey

Barry Morrissey is principal of the Limerick School Project and a Health and Wellbeing Associate with the Professional Development Service for Teacher (PDST).

Before taking up his current position he was seconded fulltime to the PDST, providing support to schools on SPHE, Relationships & Sexuality Education, Wellbeing, Anti-Bullying and Child Protection. Barry has a strong interest in SPHE and inclusive education and has presented workshops in these areas in Ireland and internationally.

All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

In the event that the minimum number of participants required do not apply then the Centre will be obliged to cancel the course and all monies will be refunded in full.
