This two-part series gives educators and learning support staff a grounded, evidence-based framework for understanding and responding to volatile, emotionally intense, and challenging behaviours in children.

Across both sessions, participants will leave with:

• A clear understanding of the neuroscience behind dysregulation and conflict
  • Practical de-escalation protocols for volatile and emotionally intense behaviour
  • Evidence-based frameworks (LSCI and Collaborative Problem Solving) to use proactively and responsively
  • Emotional regulation strategies for themselves
  • The C.O.N.N.E.C.T & G.R.O.W Framework to structure difficult conversations.

Facilitator Bio:

Sorcha Mallen is the Founder and Lead Facilitator of Rooted Resolutions.

Trained in mediation (MII), facilitation and Certified ICF CINERGY® Conflict Coach, Sorcha works with leaders, teams, educators, and individuals to navigate conflict, emotional reactivity, and relational breakdown.
