Curious Minds Awards Applications

The Science Foundation of Ireland’s Curious Minds awards provide schools with the opportunity to showcase and affirm their deep engagement in STEM activities. This course enables teachers to develop their knowledge of the requirements of achieving the Silver, Gold or Platinum Curious Minds awards for their school.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Reflect on the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) being completed in their school.
- Identify the skills and evidence required by schools to attain the silver, gold or platinum level award for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Suggest ways in which they could support their school to achieve one of the Curious Minds awards.
- Share ideas with other educators, and learn from the experiences of other participants.
Tutor bio:
Sarah is a primary school teacher who has recently completed a Masters of Education in Literacy Education in Mary Immaculate College (2022-2024). She has been working as a mainstream class teacher in a DEIS band 1 school for six years. She has a keen interest in children’s literature, CPD, STEM and Green Schools.
