🎓 Educational Journey: Cormac holds a Masters in Psychology from UUJ and spent time expanding his expertise at the esteemed IMG Academy in Florida and JFK University in California.
🏫 Founding HIP Psychology: Upon returning to Ireland, Cormac established HIP Psychology, driven by a mission to support schools in embedding a culture of strong emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour. We pride ourselves in taking a fun and evidence-based approach to our teachings
🌍 Impact in Northern Ireland: In the post-pandemic era, HIP Psychology has collaborated with over 40% of primary schools in Northern Ireland, addressing crucial themes like resilience, bullying prevention, and anxiety management.
👥 Holistic Approach: Beyond students, HIP engages with school staff and parents through enjoyable and educational workshops, fostering a supportive community.
🚀 HIP N Healthy Program: In 2024, HIP launched 'HIP N Healthy,' a year-long live online program providing expert well-being support to schools across Ireland. H N H delivers a different themed workshop each month giving schools the options to pick and choose depending upon their needs. With further parental and staff engagement we are striving to build emotionally strong adults of the future.
👩🏫 Staff Development Initiatives: HIP also offers live online Staff Development/Croke Park Hours Sessions, fostering staff well-being and morale through a light-hearted approach.
🏉⚽ Passion for Sports: Sport plays a significant role in Cormac's life. He served as a sports psychologist for the Ulster Rugby Academy, contributing to the graduation of 18 players to full-time professionalism. Cormac's 20-year tenure playing GAA for his club seniors resulted in numerous county medals and a cherished All Ireland 7s medal. Currently, he coaches his local GAA Under 14 team.
🎭 The Lighter Side: In his spare time, Cormac enjoys the craic and stars in improvisation comedy shows across Ireland, bringing joy and laughter wherever he goes.
