The World Health Organisation endorsed FRIENDS RESILIENCE programmes are designed to promote life-long resilience in individuals, families and communities. The skills learned in FRIENDS RESILIENCE empower children and adolescents to manage and prevent anxiety. FRIENDS RESILIENCE programmes equip teachers and schools with an evidence-based framework to support children to manage worries, stress, change and anxiety.

The different FRIENDS RESILIENCE programmes build on a spiral curriculum, which introduces and builds skills starting in primary school and continuing through secondary school.
The FUN FRIENDS programme build the social and emotional skills of young children by using fun, play-based group activities. The FRIENDS for LIFE programme with its social skills and resilience curriculum helps children develop tools to prevent anxiety and ‘bounce back’ from setbacks. FRIENDS for LIFE aims to improve social-emotional skills, the ability to focus, confidence, the capacity to relax, regulate emotions, and develop empathy.
