This course will highlight the importance of educators' wellbeing, focusing on practical strategies for fostering personal and professional resilience. Ideal for educators looking to enhance their wellbeing and cultivate a positive, thriving school environment.
Participants will explore the transformative power of gratitude, discovering its numerous benefits for mental and emotional health. Through evidence-based gratitude exercises, educators will gain hands-on experience with a variety of techniques to incorporate into their daily routines.
The course will guide educators in creating a personalised gratitude practice that aligns with their individual lifestyle, empowering them to nourish their own wellbeing while inspiring the same in others.

Presenter

Mary Jo Kennedy is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience in teaching and school leadership. She currently serves as an Assistant Principal and mainstream teacher at Raheen Wood Community National School. Throughout her career, Mary Jo has developed a deep understanding of the Social, Personal, and Health Education (SPHE) curriculum, a specialisation she further shares through her role as an Associate on the Oide Wellbeing Team. Passionate about nuturing the wellbeing of both students and staff, Mary Jo is deeply committed to creating a positive and supportive school environment. In 2022, she expanded her knowledge in this area by earning a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Leadership of Wellbeing in Education from Mary Immaculate College, underscoring her dedication to continuous professional growth in the field of educational leadership and wellbeing.
