How to keep morale up in times of challenge and change

How to keep morale up in times of challenge and change

Difficult times happen. We all have to weather life's storms and hit rough patches.

The last few years have been increasingly stressful for many. When people are stressed their need to feel heard, understood, recognised, supported and appreciated is often greater than in more normal times. Keeping morale high during challenging times is both difficult and important. Good morale is important for the culture, productivity, growth and wellbeing of staff and students. Boosting morale increases the confidence and happiness of all involved. This paves the way for greater success.

During this workshop, participants will learn about morale and how to boost it and maintain strong morale in the staff room and in the class room.

Learning outcomes - Participants will:

  • Understand factors that build and sustain high morale and generate a feel good factor.
  • Learn about common obstacles and barriers to morale and how to solve them
  • Learn about the critical importance of good communications in challenging times.
  • Learn how to keep their own personal morale high in challenging times
