The art of switching off (relaxation) (for teachers and or students)
Modern life is fast paced with a lot of busyness and distractions. Many are operating in 5th gear mentally - all or at least too much of the time which can easily lead to exhaustion, lack of joy and happiness and ultimately burnout. During this course, you will learn how to slow down from 5th gear and find the pause button so that you can meaningfully recharge your batteries and enjoy a healthy work life balance and experience regular joy and connection which are often lost when we are too busy in our heads.
The session will cover:
· What is relaxation
· Different practices to calm the mind and relax
· The art of switching off
· The true cost of not switching off
· Learning to 'switch off' so you can 'switch on' properly
· Stress, learning and the growth equation for peak performance
· The importance of Sleep and Common barriers to achieving it
· Personal Action Plan
Particpants will have a switch off tool kit
Learning Outcomes -
By the end of the session, participants will
- Have a toolkit to slow down and relax
- Learn about and understand the growth equation for peak performance
- Have an understanding of the importance of Sleep and Common barriers to achieving it
- Have at least 2 Action steps of an action plan they can take to switch off
