Please note this is a repeat of the workshop we held on the 21 October 2020 and 18 November 2020.
At least 1 in 10 students in the classroom have dyslexia. This means that there are at least three students in every classroom of thirty with dyslexia. This workshop will provide primary and post primary teachers with a brief overview of dyslexia. It will discuss the indicators of dyslexia in the primary and post primary classroom. It will explore the difficulties that students with dyslexia face in the classroom environment. Tips and strategies to create a dyslexia friendly classroom will be highlighted throughout this webinar. Teachers will gain practical strategies to bring back to their classrooms.
Dyslexia and student well-being will be addressed in this webinar. Dyslexia can often impact negatively on self-esteem. It can lead to behaviour difficulties particular in the post primary classroom. The strengths of students with dyslexia will be discussed and strategies to promote these strengths explored.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to all particpants (via your LEC profile) which may be used for the Croke Park hours.
