Special needs assistants (SNAs) play an important role in assisting the teacher to support students with special educational needs who have significant care needs. SNAs may provide assistance in the areas of self-care, communication, mobility/orientation, medication, fragile health, use of equipment, etc.
This webinar looks at common problems and practical strategies related to basic self-care skills, including feeding, toileting and dressing. We also look at ways to promote participation and independence in self-care skills, e.g. by adapting the environment and using equipment.
Please note course fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
A certificate of attendance will be provided to all particpants (via your LEC profile) which may be used for the Croke Park hours.
